Hi guys and gals. New to the forums here. Currently own a Ruger GP100 4" blued and my pops recently gave me his old Remington Scoremaster 511 .22 rifle. I haven't been to the range in awhile, but I'm looking to change that in 2015!

Undecided as of now. I'll be taking a gun safety class this Saturday and see what I like that they have to offer. Unsure of handgun or shotgun as first purchase. Looking primarily for home defense. Hard to get CCW here in LA county so compacts aren't big in my radar. Thanks for the welcome Gary.

Just jointed a few minutes ago. A friend pointed me in this direction. The same friend I went with to his CCPL challenge here in Fresno. We made it a family event with my wife and two kids, boy & girl. Although we were only there for about an hour, I got some good info. My kids wondered if they were going to get a chance to shoot ...

Hi, I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area - been lurking for awhile and really appreciate this forum and the people who contribute, so I figured I better start contributing as well.
Been shooting and hunting since I was a little kid, from waterfowl to varmints to big game, and my gun collection reflects that. I've really been getting into reloading lately and like being self-sufficient.

I am new to the site and very new to shooting. Tried Trap shooting a few months ago and really liked it. Since I've given up riding dirt bikes I figured I'd try trap shooting. My wife wanted me to stop riding and take up something safer.
Will be going to Oak Tree Gun Club around lunch time during the week. Renting a gun at first but will be interested in purchasing one soon.
