Hey all, i've been lurking for a while as i prepped to move to CA from DC. longtime hunter from OR, recently got back into shooting, and got serious about the 2nd Amd after the hell of gun registration in DC. believe it or not, my gun rights got BETTER by moving here!

Looking forward to my first AR or AK. And my first boar hunting!

New Member from Bay Area

Hi Everyone,
Moved here from MA six years ago and fell in love with CA wilderness. Took up annual backpacking outings with my sons into Yosemite, Death Vally, High Sierras, Ventana Wilderness. Realized fairly early on, that their safety (and mine) was entirely my responsibility and I needed something to protect against 4-legged (and 2-legged) threats out there. Purchased my first handgun: a 686 seven shot .357 and realized later on that to truly protect against bigger threats, a .44 was the way to go. So I moved up to a 329PD: lightweight and packing a punch.

Hey all. I've been reading for a while and just joined. I have a small collection, all either <1 year or >60 years. I'm looking to get back into hunting, which I haven't done since my grandpa took me when I was a kid. I'd be interested if anyone has a D14 deer tag and wouldn't mind helping a guy shake off some of that rust.
