new guy from central california here.

hey guys new to the forum and trying to purchase my own gun for the first time. i did some competition shooting in college using an h&k 9mm. I'm fairly knowledgable with a pistol and how to handle it safely. i hope to gather enough information here to make an intelligent first buy.

Hello everybody!

Another FNG here who has been bit by the firearm bug. Just can't seem to get enough guns and ammo.

Just found out about this site from a guy I was talking to at the ammo section at Walmart. So I figured I would join.

Hope to learn more about firearms, and maybe pick up a few more!

Hello and salutations

Just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself and say hello. I'm am Southern California resident been here all my life. Just recently got into firearms. I bought my first gun last year, a Ruger 10/22, and was bitten by the gun bug. In 2 months time I got a Lee Enfield no.1 mk3*, and have started working on an AR15. You could probably guess I like rifles, although I'm hoping to purchase my first handgun this year. Hopefully California repeals some laws or things don't get too stupid making it either hard, or too expensive to purchase something I want.

Other than that I've been married 12 years and am a new father, my baby girl is 1 year old. Hopefully not TMI but there it is... and here I am!

I'm a military sniper instructor who in a former life was a machinist and over the last couple of years I been truing and rebarreling 700 actions doing muzzle breaks etc for friends. I also do 3D CAD work and custom cnc work out of my garage.

the name's kerry. found this forum while searching for something and decided i should put in the effort and stick around. especially considering i have the free time now. for starters i just recently bought a brand new from the factory savage model 111 trophy hunter edition .300 win mag with the accu-trigger (was in the caliber i wanted so i rolled with it). it's a nice little toy. also currently trying to breathe new life into a pre 64 winchester model 94 .32 spec. but proving to be more work than anticipated.
