log in doesn't work! frustrating

My coworker tried to open a new account and the verifying image was pixelated and unreadable so he could not open a new account. Unsure if this is an isolated issue or a system problem but I thought I?d share.

The only outstanding issue for me is that the funny pictures thread takes over 30 seconds to open.

When I'm on this thread it says I'm logged in then I try to navigate back onto the home page it says I'm logged off.

The log in issue is being a stubborn PITA.
I'm thinking it might be a cache/cookie related problem since that is how the forum 'knows' you.. creepy.

For those having log in problems try clearing both browser cache and cookies.
This site tells how for most browsers.

I'll check our image generator, maybe the sever uses something different than the old one.

iTrader never went anywhere, it's in the upper right hand corner of your post.

Some genius suggested pressing F5. For me it works like a charm. Clueless as to the how, but I guess as long as it works no need for concern.

When viewing v 1.1 on android, double clicking thread, its is still tiny and doesn't do a "screen fit". Fyi.

Log in problems

Since the new host and server have come online I can no longer log in to the main site. When I click to report an issue it shows me as logged in. If i go to the main site it shows me as not logged.

One bug I am noticing, forum main pages are not refreshing when you click the links to them. This has never been a problem before.

If you click a link like this to go back to the subforum main page, it will sometimes show a stale version- it will sometimes show the last version just before you entered the thread, even though changes have happened to that thread and others. Now you have to manually refresh the forum main page to get a current view of recent threads and last posters...

This may be related to http vs https, and www.calguns.net vs just calguns.net (without www). This was always an issue.

Sign in to all versions of the site to be sure you have all the authenticated cookies you need and try again.
