Slow Speed

The site was working fine this afternoon but tonight it has trouble loading.

The performance issue comes at extremely inconsistent intervals. One hour, everything runs fine. The next hour, the website runs more slowly than dial-up.

Consistently slow for me. I never see the speed up some have mentioned. In fact today I'm getting failure to connect/time-out notices and I have to try multiple times.

Desktop computer is hit and miss. Cellphone I just plain gave up on.

The inconsistency is the most confusing aspect. One hour, the site takes seconds to load. The next hour, performance slows down to the point where I cannot even make a single post without timing out.

It is not slow in a linear sense.
When the issue is happening and you click a link, it just sits there for 15 to 18 seconds and then instantly sends the page related to the link. Not like a low bandwidth issue but rather the server is taking forever to respond like there is a delay timer to sit through before the chosen link is displayed.

Me also. It took 17 seconds for this dialogue box to come up after hitting the "Quote" button.

When I hit the "Post" button the connection timed out after 22 seconds. I hit the reload button and it timed out again at 24 seconds, I hit refresh again and it posted after 7 seconds.

I hit "Edit" to add in the connection problems above and it timed out twice more and finally allowed the edit screen to come up.

I'm going to "Save Changes" but I'm not going to edit this again to say how many times that it times out this time.

Pretty much slow all the time on my cell which is where I’m usually looking at CG. Every now and then it seems to be ok.

same. extremely slow 98% of the time. ok 2% of the time. its become like therapy, patience for veterans, set the phone down and come back to it hoping im loaded. highest calgunner traffic ever or part of the plan?

Just speculating, because I know no more than has been posted, but it seems to me it's acting like some process needs to be restarted after accumulating enough connections or whatever.
