Let's say I want a Rock Island 1911 in 9mm which is not on the list, how does this work? As far as I know riflegear does not stock any Rock Island pistols at the moment.

It would need a 9mm barrel at least 6" in length and a magazine block to make it single shot. I don't think it would be worth the investment for us to procure the conversion parts for this pistol, but if you ship one in to us in that configuration we would do a transfer on it for you.

1911 SSE - out of state transfer

Shark - Is it possible to have a 1911 shipped to you from out of state and you can install SSE compliance parts and then transfer to me? Or, do i need to find someone else, like Table Rock Arms, to do the conversion first and then ship to you for transfer to me? I am hoping that the 1911 platform is more or less standardized these days with respect to SSE modification parts and I can avoid the 2-step process...thanks!

We aren't doing SSE conversions on guns shipped in as transfers, those are reserved for our inventory as we have a limited number of conversion kits for 1911. It will need to come in as a single-shot pistol or purchase one from our inventory.

What if I want a frame, and I let you guys use my Pachmayr Dominator kit during the process?

Ex: I have an STI frame sent you, when it arrives, I give you the top end of a Dominator single shot kit, you install on the frame, start DROS, and I pick up and leave with the frame/top end assembled 10 days later.

              Is this feasible?

I now see you guys have the HK45 but not for CA. When can I expect this to be for CA market? I'm ready to get one soon as its available.

AS A GENERAL RULE PLEASE NOTE:

we don't give inventory levels out and we cannot estimate inventory in the future, as the industry is too busy and too hot right now. As a value add, we try to communicate as much as possible with you all, our valued customers, but we cannot pass along information, we ourselves cannot obtain. We simply have a situation of more demand than supply in the gun industry right now, we happen to enjoy our inventory supply, which just so happens to be better than most. As for ETA's, it's nearly impossible to give some...

that said, here is the best we can do... trust me when I say, we like selling guns, we like having buying customers like you; we will do what we can within reason to communicate our item availability, but please note the current constraints.

Re: HK45, still trying to get the parts worked out for the SSE. We DO realize many of you want them in CA.

Re: site list of SSE's, each pistol has a CA version listed in the variants below the item if there is an SSE kit/transfer available for it. As for a central list, one does not exist, but we might consider putting together something that can periodically be posted on our social media and forum presences.

Re: Glock Gen4 21; the firearm is in stock, but in order to get on the list for the SSE, you will need to make the purchase of the firearm, to start the process to get a kit assigned to you. The process could be up to 30 days in an extreme case...based on the DROS rules. Many times, people find that they get to DROS their SSE CA version sooner rather than later, it all depends on how many kits we have for the guns (we don't publicize inventory levels or kit numbers, sorry). Best bet: buy one on the website, then wait for a Riflegear representative to contact you to come in for the DROS process, it will probably be faster than you think.

Re: FNX45, there aren't immediate plans to SSE this; for several reasons, mostly demand and cost, but that doesn't mean it's an impossibility in the future. FN guns are hit and miss, for instance we have decent supplies of certain ones, but cannot get a hold of others, depending on the manufacturing cycles. I personally agree that the FNX45 is a cool gun, and one I'd like to see in an SSE, but demand and cost must be in line with rationale too; currently it is not.

Re: P30 HK, we may or may not eventually SSE this pistol, but if current indications on supply from HK are any measure of availability, then it will be a while into the future. We simply can't get concrete timelines on that pistol. We will let the information out on our social media channels and through our forums when we DO have new information.

                            Hope this helps.
