    Burro membership

Thinking about getting one in the next few weeks. Anyone have one and how do you like it?

Wondering.... What are the perks to having membership?

I've been a member for a few years.

The main perk is the ability to reserve the private ranges. Beyond that, its free to shoot anytime you want and you save $2 on target frame rentals. If you go often or want to use the private ranges its worth it, otherwise just paying the daily fee is the way to go.

One more thing that slipped my mind, members can bring one guest free on each trip.

I'm not a member, and I've reserved the private bays more than once... I believe the member's benefit is you can get access to any un-used private bays a-la-minute, without a reservation... (unless they've recently changed their policy, anyway...)

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

Nice! I live in Arcadia close to the 605 and have been preparing my PVC target frames, and doing the math on whether to buy or not. Just recently got my sister into shooting and she bought her first handgun. So I think we can make use if the guest pass. It sure beats heading out to blm land and spending gas and drive time.

Make sure you tell them you're a member when you pay and return your targets. Believe or not they don't have membership cards or any identifying paperwork other than a roster list behind the desk.

2nd'ing that, definitely make sure to let them know, otherwise they auto-dock 2 bucks off the refund when you turn in the frames.

Just a bump to the thread. I am a member and a big advantage is if you shoot often enough you save the fee. As mentioned above you can take a guest.

I was a member in the past and was never able to reserve a private range. Usually had to shoot with the peasants for a while until someone left the PR then I would be able to shoot there.

I have been a member for five years.
to summarize the pro and the con.
                      1. member fee $250 per year. you are free to shoot plus one guest.
                      2. free target frame as long as you don't damage it.
                      3. The real perk ! you are free to use the private as long as no one reserves or occupied.
if you are able to go on the weekdays, it's perfect. You can have the whole private range to myself without paying anything extra. You can run the drill for three gun if you can set it up.

My schedule allows me going on Thursday or Friday. Usually, I can get a private range for the whole afternoon. no need to wait other people.

PM me if you want to go. I am in Monrovia.

                        3rd guest for private range

How much does the 3rd guess have to pay for the private range?

$30 for the 3rd, and the same $30 each for anyone else that uses that particular range.
