I'm looking to pick up a firearm at IVE. Has anyone had any luck negotiating their prices? If so, how flexible are they? Thanks!

I can't say much about buying a handgun over there since they're too far from me (live norcal).

I took them up on their $5 all day range special when visiting folks during labor day weekend. Guys at the range were cool and laid back.

Guns I 've purchased from IVE in the store, no negation. Guns I've purchased from IVE at Gun Shows in Ventura, a little negotiation but not a lot.

I too get the "deal of the day" e-mails but have never purchased anything from them on the phone or via the web. I understand the frustration of Sabesimpson but once incident like this and walking off in a huff seems a bit silly IMO. Every business has it downside or bad days but overall I think IVE is pretty darn good. Sorry you couldn't get the deal you wanted. Maybe going in and talking to them in person when you get back they'll be willing to work something out for you.

I was just going to make a comment about Island view.
First let me state I have bought ALL but one firearm from them and I have more then I want to mention for reasons. I was a silver member for two years than stopped because work got in the way of my shooting time. I still have my charter card not that it matters. I have trusted and gloated about these guys I even sent (being conservative) 30 + co-workers to them. That brings me to Yesterday 9/18/15. I am assigned to an incident up in Northern California (Amador county) you might of heard of the Butte fire. So I got the email yesterday "deals of the day".
Great I love that these guys do that.
So I really want to buy that windham .308 SRC from them on sale for $1249 plus they pay DROS!! Awesome I'm in!! I ask the wife to go put a deposit on it over the phone and the kid so no we don't do that and I have to go in and do that. I have put stuff on deposit there before but apparently it's a no go so not only will I miss out on the sale of a rifle that I want but I will miss out on the "we pay your dros. I guess I will have to take business elsewhere. Don't get me wrong they are a great shop and range but I am really disappointed. I will wait until I get back after next weekend and shop around maybe knights tactical in Camarillo or Camarillo shooters supply.

Btw sounds like NO negotiations going to happen wife was trying to talk them into $1250 OTD. Basicly no tax.
Sorry long winded I feel powerless 7 hrs away from home!

We no longer take deposits over the phone for credit card security purposes. We would of been more than willing to take a deposit in person from your wife to secure the deal.

As far as negotiations go....We will match or beat any brick and mortar stores price.

Our philisophy from day one is to give the best customer service we can provide and offer competitive prices.

BTW, the firearm is still on sale with the DROS fee being covered, along with a 30 day unlimited shooter pass being given on date of purchase.

Admittedly I'm a pain in the arse and Island View has always done there best to accommodate my above than astronomical expectations when buying the quantity and level of items we purchase over the years. The staff has always been nothing short of superb in their presentation with respect and profesionalism to myself, my son and friends I bring in, including Nick(the owner?) who I don't think cares for me personally or my business, but actually honored an error they made on web pricing of a Les Baer UTC I purchased couple years ago. Sorry to hear of your poor experience Sabesimpson, but every business has its off(bad) days and would encourage giving them another chance or perhaps reaching out to Nick to seek satisfaction. They have earned my loyalty and respect.

I handled my miss information and Islandview did take care of me when I came back to town. I didn't think anyone would beat their prices and I did confirm that with a few local places. The thing that was happening was the wife expected the great folks at Islandview to know who we/she is. But from what I can tell the only person left since the beginning is Nick who I will admit is second to none. I now understand the credit card issue and totally understand. Now if we can get rid of the 10 day wait...............
