WHAT DO YOU NEED?

I'll put together another parts and gear ad soon. -
Go on the Department of Interior's webite and order a map from the BLM ($4) and have a look. We need to go up the 33 practically into Bakersfield (I think it's technically SB county but who cares, it's a drive) to get to BLM land where the fun can really happen!
Before that you are mostly in LPNP, which is illegal to shoot in during fire season which we are currently in (heard of the drought?) and hasn't been opening much the last few years.
To get to the points, I wanted to be a snarky a_hole and provide some seriously useful information. #1 is done so here it is...
Seriously order that map. You will see that the Glass Factory is in the Los Padres National Forrest (it's on the ridge line above SB) and therefore off limits most of the year legally. Plus it's trashed and not really all that 'amazing.'
The fact is, we are starved for that kind of experience for the most part in VC. You need to take a little drive to have some real fun. There are some places (google BC109) that are within driving distances but until we get invited to some of that private land to shoot on (it does exist, don't worry about that), here we are.
Long story long, bump for an important thread.Comment
