Spencville Range Clean-Up Interest

I was there today, with my Dad and Uncle. The range was not spotless but I would say pretty clean.

The guy next to us did leave about 200 .223 brass there that I picked up

Yeah when I was there, the 2 asian guys next to me with ARs lfet about 200-300 rounds of .223 brass next to me, the guy who came after them had a field day with it all..

Range is a mess again

Went there on 9/7/09 and it was horrible. Trash everywhere. I wanted to make everyone stop and clean up for 20 min. A dumpster did show up while we were there though. It was nice to see and made me wonder who sent it there. The people who maintain the wildlife area must set it all up but don't tell anyone about it. Wish I could help in some way. I know sac black rifle tried to get ahold of someone there with no response. I just want to do my part so I can sleep at night knowing I'm not one of many who caused us to lose the shooting area due to abuse.

I was there on 9/6 and there was no dumpster. It wasn't awful, but it was getting there.

Hey, if someone puts a clean up together for this range please send me a pm!!! I will be more than happy to go up there and clean up and it will be a good way to kill two birds with one stone since I have wanted to make the trip up there to shoot and check the place out for some time.

Lame that people do not get the HINT that these areas WILL get shut down... They are on all sorts of organizations radars to just need ANY reason to shut them down...

Signs with fee's imposed to litters who are caught, just like on highways maybe?

How about rangers going out and seeing that people are cleaning up and edjucating shooters? DO NOT let people leave without there sh*t? Just a few ideas.... I know some jacka*ses will shoot the signs up for sure but... I am just saying.

I think it would be great if the littering laws were enforced at spencville. Everyone would win the people who suck would be fined and probably never come back and the people that follow the rules and pickup there trash could stay.

Great way for the state to make some cash I'm sure they could pay someone to sit out there all week and weekend for a couple of fines a month.
