Now THAT gate I've been waiting to see open!!!! Too bad my quad is still down and probably will be for a few months! It's been so long since I got to ride that way, and believe it or not I did get sick of riding the same half of the mountain that has remained open to us.

Although at this point after riding nothing since last winter, I would take anything given to me. Everytime it snows I look up there longingly. I can always take the truck, but the quad is the more fun option by a long shot.

A long time ago... probably 4 years ago I had ridden on HS19 (WAAAAYYY out above Soboba before Poppet Flats) and it was a BLAST. One of the coolest sections of trails out there if you want to go flat out. Long sweeping curves and tons of half mile or longer straights.

      I was on that clean-up
My Yamaha Rhino really helped a lot for getting into the narrow canyons to get the trash out.
I go out there a couple times a week , Either to pick brass / target shoot or just check on the canyons and let the dog run . and I always bring some " Stuff " back

As any boy scout (former or present) will tell you, you alway take enough trash bags to haul out everything you took in and everything else you can carry. Perhaps the FS could start posting signs: "Leave this place cleaner than you found it or just leave!"

Good Point ..Maybe That's where I get it from

I 've talked to a few ranger friends I made there about that and it's a good idea . But ..... The signs most likely would just get shot-up !!!!!!!!!!!
Heck ,,,people even bring in road signs and No tresspessing signs to shoot up

I wonder if the USFS could strategically place a dumpster somewhere around there. When we go, we always pick up more than we brought in. Last time, we filled up 8 large black yard bags.....seems to be getting trashed up pretty quickly in comparison to last year.

Probably wouldn't get shot up if you put it close to the highway before that first sharp bend to the right. That and they could be charged with destruction of federal property.

That idea has been talked about also ( Good Idea )

Problem ///// If it's out there near the shooting area .Somebody will start bringing their house trash and couches
                I guess it's happened elsewhere

Here's a tip ::::: For " US " good shooters that clean-up when we are done
Across the street at Cranston ranger station
When you turn into their driveway . Go right ( West ) toward the Service yard and large shed
In front of the gate there are 2 rolling trash bins
Travis ( Head guy with the OHV unit ) told me it would be a big help if we would put picked up thrash there from the shooting area

I was out there last sunday and people are starting to trash the place. I also take black trash bags and pick up what i can, sometimes it's just to much.

You do what you can, lead by example, and don't be too shy to give people an earful if you see dumping. If it get real bad, set a date about 20-30 days out, start a thread and I and others will show up if possible and do a mass cleanup.

At Bee Canyon targets are limited to dirt, paper, wood, clay pigeon, or a metal spinning/knockdown target. Anything else = an unlawful discharge and vandalism and/or littering. So if you see then blasting away an old TV you can report them and they are in deep $h!t even if they claim they will pick it up after. At a minimum, take down license plates and location and call it in ASAP.

This isn't Tijuana no matter how much of Hemet thinks otherwise and some people just need a reminder now and again.

Can anyone give me an exact location for this place? I have a general idea and Im sure once I get out there it will be obvious. I live in Ventura County but I have a friend in Anaheim Hills and we would like to shoot here. Take a look at this map and tell me if Im in the right place

Yup. Take that left going north. Follow the road until it bends to the right. Keep going and you will start seeing pretty obvious places to shoot and with any luck a spot where nobody is shooting at the time.

I hate to put the brakes on anybody plans .BUT .
Bee Canyon is CLOSED for now ...........

With the fires we had a while back and ALL the vegatation burned off they are worried about Mud-Slides on the canyons

I went up there yesterday afternoon to do a little plinking and let the dog run before the BIG rains hit ...
And by the the time I got to the first main gate it was LOCKED .

I guess they don't want a Donner Pass thing happening up on the trails ....

Good thing . Because . As I was getting ready to go and the first wave of rains were coming .2 guys in a jeep came by and said they wanted to drive up to the first stream and see how it was flowing !!!!!!and this was at 2: 00 PM and North Fork stream is about 4,500 ft elv.
