Anything near the Stanislaus or Tuolumne Rivers in the BLM's Mother Lode area? Red Hills is near Don Pedro, but explicitly bans target shooting or discharging of firearms.

The general Mother Lode/Folsom field office won't recommend any areas to shoot. I'm sure there are some, and would love it if someone shared. I love hiking, camping, and always leave areas cleaner than I find them and pack out all my trash.

OC is not a shooter's paradise. Closest places are like Palm Springs or Barstow or AZ.

          So. California guys:

Berdoo Canyon is designated BLM land for shooting for the local desert area.
Located off Dillon Road, north of the I10 Freeway. It's about 25 minutes east of Palm Springs.

Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.

Gets pretty warm during the summer time, so best to go early morning.

There's plenty of room to shoot; I've never seen a time where somebody can't because of crowding.

When heading up the road, you'll see several flat areas to the left which is where a good portion of people shoot. Continuing on the road, it will come upon a dry wash, with shooting on either side of the road. After the wash is another flat landing to the right, just before the road curves to the left and up the mountain. I'm sure there are more spots, past the areas mentioned, but I've never bothered to look due to lack of shooting areas.

Just a word of caution: don't bother driving through the wash without a pickup or tall SUV! It's easy to get stuck with a car

Closest place to Moreno Valley to at least 200yards? I'd like to set up my scope.

I believe that this forum is not a private forum. When I see people on calguns giving out locations on where to shoot, I just shake my head. Anyone can go to google and find these posts and that means that ANYONE, retards, you tubers and illegal dumpers etc. What that means is that the more you tell people where they can go on a public forum, then the faster that that place will get to be known by a lot more people and the faster the idiots will show up and leave their trash all over and basically **** all over your shooting area. THEN it gets closed and you come back here to cry about how it got closed and how it is not fair.

For everyone who feels the need to blurt out where you like to go shoot, hey, I say call it a name or use its name, but I strongly urge you to keep all directions on how to get there in PMs only. How closely you guard your shooting locations will determine how long it stays open. SteelE PeakE is constantly under fire now because of all of the jackasses that show up and leave their crap out there. No doubt I am sure a few of them googled it and they are not even calguns members.

By all means, I am all for helping others out, but I think that the directions need to be kept in PM or FTF only.
