    Got CCW?

Whenever I see Calgunners talking about their CCW permits, I always imagine dudes over 30 years old.

Does anyone from ages 21-29 has CCW permit?

I had one when I lived in Tennesse. However it does not reciprocate to California. I have serious doubts about my elegibilty here in San Diego
Im glad I had it one occasion, It didnt clear the holster but I had my hand on it.

I don't really want one , but it wouldn't hurt having one. But in county, it's very hard to get one because of the sherrif and the requirements.
So would you say that the Sacramento Sherrif doesn't look at the age that way?

I will be 21 in August, and have my initital CCW appointment a week after my bday. I would have scheduled for earlier, but I was worried about meeting the age requirement needed to buy a handgun. I already have multiple guns in my name via intrafamilial transfer, but I did not want to risk a denial due to age, so I scheduled the appointment after my bday.

I intend to carry around 75-90% of the time, as I believe that everyone has to rely on themselves for protection before relying on society or local police. I have seen and experienced enough things that might have turned ugly for me, so a CCW will allow me to protect myself in case anything like that comes up again.

Dad brought me up to always rely on myself and never count on anyone else for any help. That is a virtue that I have taken to heart. A CCW will allow me to do just that, and potentially even out the field if I were to encounter anything like I had before.

Immigrating from the USSR at the age of 2, I have no recollection of how bad it was over there, but have heard enough from my grandparents and parents. Being a citizen of this great country, I fully intend to exercise my rights and protect myself. The 2nd Amendment is a very powerful tool and should not be taken lightly(IMO). If we can use it, why the hell not?

So in a couple months, I will be in legal possession of a CCW.

                Uzbekistan, no po naceonlnesti Koreets.

Not a citizen yet, gonna apply this year. I am already a handgun owner, but I'm gonna try to apply for the CCW in this commie county of mine maybe next year.

Are there any specific requirements in your county?

                  Yasno. Zdrastvuy!

Sac county went "shall issue", and there are no requirements other than "good cause", clean record, and training.

There is no minimum age, but I did not want to run the risk of being rejected as it would only make it harder to get a CCW in the future.

vot suka! I hope mods aren't russian lol

                    Well, really though? Shall issue?
God, why does Bay has to be so lame when the crime is so damn high up?
I am jealous that you live in Sac lol

U know if I had a CCW, I wouldn't feel safer, but I would feel more confident to know that I had a chance to fight back and not have my life in hands of some ****ole. And just like you, I could rely on myself, instead of someone else.

Again, Congrats, hope you can get the permit.

haha! navryadle, mojno meteritsa skolko xochesh.

Shall issue in sac! Everyone who is clean, has good cause, and goes through the training gets their permits within a couple months.

Having one of my guns on me will never make me feel "safe", but I will be more able to protect myself if the need arises. Safety is a frame of mind and one is only as safe as he/she believes himself/herself to be(another thing my dad taught me). I never feel safe unless I'm at home. The world we live in is quite crazy and **** happens every day.

Dad and I both applied for CCW's, and I urge all my pro-gun friends and family members to get one. Why not exercise your right to protect yourself? Even if you dont plan on carrying, jsut having the CCW will allow you to carry if the need arises. Seems like common sense to me, but then again I come from a different background/culture.

                        You understand, right?

yes, better have it and not need it, then need it and not have it. Especially when the law allows the law-abiding citizens to have on.

My chick lives in the ghetto, I always feel uneasy there, cause a lot of hood rats there packing heat. Cause of that, I got curious

If the whole state is going to change its ways about guns and CCW, my county will be the last. But yes, thanks to calguns, we are informed and have our rights.
Thanks for the info, bro. I appreciate it
