Open Letter to a Gun-Buying Husband

this was brought to my attention by another member of calguns who thought the ladies' forum participants would appreciate it:

"The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound."-- as seen on a t-shirt

She needs to correct her grip first. Smaller guns are much more difficult to manage than larger frame guns and have much more felt recoil. Using an improper grip only adds to the problem.

Great letter. I wonder if it would be OK to reproduce it for Women On Target classes?

Everyone's an expert! Missed the point entirely.

Highlander, read the article, don't worry about the pictures. No one learns a proper grip by looking at diagrams.

It is funny. Since I have started working at a gun store, My favorite local gun store as a matter of fact, I have seen prolly about 10+ guys in the past 1.5 weeks mention to me that they want to buy THIS or THAT gun for their wife or girlfriend. MOST of the time they are pointing to the PINK framed FMK pistol (kinda like a glock, but longer trigger pull). I have told them (based on a previous thread I came across here some time ago) that if they really want to make that purchase worth it then they will bring the woman down to try it out because just cause it feels good in their hands don't mean their woman will feel the same way about it. And about 1/5 of them said that was fine, they would then get to keep it for themself and she can buy a different one...

LoL. And I of course told my girl the other night that she needs to get her own gun to have also, but first I want her to study and pass that stupid test...
7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

Need GOOD SS pins to clean your brass? Try the new and improved model...

And remember- 99.9% of the lawyers ruin it for the other .1%...

CSA, I think if you print it and quote the source as well as the author it would be ok....but why not call Beretta and be sure?

actually, Highlander's post emphasized what the blogger was saying....and what we say here as well. perhaps we should thank him for making the point?! LOL!

Yes, us guys have finally found the one forum on Calguns where Highlander can get troll squashed. I guess you really can't expect us men to do ladies' work. Thanks ladies!

                          you're welcome, ipsick!

why wait?! make that visit now, get her HSC if she doesn't already have it, try out as many as She can as rentals at a range, and buy one so that all is necessary is the paperwork and compliance stuff.

                          and have fun!

There is actually a rather low troll survival rate in the Women's Forum. Gender doesn't matter and half life is probably less than 15 minutes...
