    February 3rd.

That's when I get to pick up my first handgun (of my own. I've been borrowing my dad's since I was old enough to hold a gun). Finally took the plunge at 24. I'm so excited!

A got a Ruger GP100. Second hand, but in hardly fired condition. Gosh I feel like I've been waiting forever though! 30 day consignment hold

In the meantime, I've been stalking The Walmart and online at a few places trying to get ammo for it. Is it February yet? Lol.

    Grats!

The wait is the hardest part. But when you do get it out of jail, you'll be sooo happy.

                    I know....it's just....more bang = more fun

I do actually have quite a bit of .38 special on hand as it is. It's really been all I could find. Unfortunately I have to work, so I can't stalk the Walmart at 7am every day >_> but I've been keeping an eye out online too.

OR, you COULD come to a Calguns reloading clinic, decide if you want to get into reloading and then make your own ammo for around $10.00 or so per box of 50.

Powder is everywhere, projectiles are everywhere, primers are everywhere. All you need is brass and even THAT is cheap to buy. Reloaded .38 lasts forever and ever and ever so buy brass once and you will prolly have it till you die. But the coolest thing is making your own ammo...

Eat Dirt also sells brass here too.

The next one is at my house in about a month or so. We are still setting up the exact time/day...

Congrats on your gun. My friend got a ruger gp100 so he could test out his reloads.

I am interested, and I will learn at some point. My dad's heavily into reloading, so I already have a teacher and means. But I haven't even picked up the gun yet LOL! I figured one step at a time.

Picked it up today and took it to the range! Oh my god I love this gun. Shoots awesome. I couldn't fire the magnum rounds double action though. I've got these tiny little hands. I think I would benefit greatly from some smaller grips....in the meantime, single action is lovely. With the .38 special either way is fine as a fiddle.

And holy heck magnum loads are fun! I'm not gonna lie, I giggled a bit with the first one.
