Do you clean your own guns?

i do. this is one aspect where i wish i were more like the guys and found it relaxing or rewarding in a job well done.
ive pondered trading home cooked dinners for gun cleaning... -
I wish I could cook!!!
I do, however like to clean guns. It is relaxing for me. I just get a little overwhelmed with all of the different products. So, I purchased 4 or 5 different types and decided to experiment, see what turns up!
I also purchased a Tipton's gun vise to help me out with the long guns.
I was just wondering what the women in the Ladies Forum do. Thanks for replying!

i hate cleaning them. when i go to the range my decision on what to take hinges more on what do i want to clean the least.Comment

I clean mine and my partner's guns. It's weirdly soothing to me.WTB: multiautomatic ghost gun with a .30-caliber clip to disperse with 30 bullets within half a second. Must include shoulder thing that goes up.

I enjoy cleaning my guns. It is relaxing and soothing. I have always been one to take things apart to see how they work and then of course have to figure out ways to improve them.Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.
A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.
Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

yes, I do. I shoot them, I clean them. I actually enjoy both."The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound."-- as seen on a t-shirt

Best way to understand the basic components and how it works is to take it apart. Cant clean a gun without taking a gun apart even if you put it in the dishwasher.
To answer OP's question. Yes, I clean my own guns. There are no stupid questions...just stupid people asking questions.Comment

Yes, a better question would be who doesn't.
EDIT: Sorry, was on my phone and didn't notice the forum. Hope I didn't intrude.Last edited by pbsmind; 01-13-2014, 4:21 PM."He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - Jim ElliotComment

OMG this thread would have gone a different route if posted in the OT forum...
hehehe.
Sadly, I do clean my own guns; (because nobody else will) and now that I introduced someone to a wider range of firearms yesterday, I have 9 guns to clean...
They will not be cleaned for maybe another day or so. It IS a lot of work, but some guns are fun to take apart and mess with. What can I say, I DO like to play with mah gun :O
