The chocolate is a bit too thick, and they aren't particularly elegant-looking; but, the chocolate did set! I even managed to get the sprinkles on top.
    Holy crap!!!

Those pics made me diabetic!!! And if I ate that I would be!!!!

    But it does look fantastic.
    Sorry, not sorry.

And yeah, I know holy almost necro thread.

But I’m looking for something different.

I’ve got a 3 lb chuck roast, very nicely marbled with little of the thick fat around the edges.

I was thinking jerky, but realized that I have some other meat for that.

      So I’m looking for a generally low stress dish that is not;
      Pot roast
      Chili
      Stew
      Tacos

Of course some new method or combinations of ingredients may overcome my objection to the standard recipes.

Prep time is fine, constant labor for hours/days...not so much.

      So hit me with it!

      Whacha got for me.

      Edit:
      No weird ingredients please.

LOL! I think they turned out decently. Most of my coworkers were just shocked that I even did Gansitos at all!

Alright alright alright.....you ask, I deliver. I bought a chuck roast and this is what I was planning to do with it: Beef Ragu

The recipe calls for boneless beef short ribs; but, if you can't get boneless short ribs, it states you can use chuck roast (but not bone-in short ribs!). The recipe has anchovy fillets in it; but, you can just omit them if you think they're "weird". I haven't made this yet; but, since you have chuck on hand, I thought you might like to have a go at it. The recipe suggests serving the ragu over creamy cheese polenta. I also included that recipe below!

            Cookie Butter Cake!

This cake is made in the style of Biscoff cookies and cookie butter. The cake itself is a box of yellow cake mix doctored with an extra egg and milk instead of water. Then the cake batter was lightly spiced with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, anise, and a touch of almond extract. The center is layered with cookie butter flavored icing, cookie butter, and crushed Biscoff cookies. Finally, I decorated the outside in the theme of Biscoff cookies. This is my first time attempting a homemade swiss meringue buttercream frosting. It involved cooking sugar and egg whites over a double boiler and then whipping up meringue before mixing in butter and cookie butter.

One way to make a box mix look like sumthin'! LOL
