Do not take her to the range. Lead & Noise = bad news for baby. Further, I would add that if she intends to breastfeed, she stay away from the range during that period as well.

First, Congrats.

I managed an indoor range back in the mid 90's. We did not allow pregnant women onto the range. Airborn lead and chemicals as well as the noise can all harm the fetus.

The noise is definitely an issue. When my wife was pregnant her Gyno told her that basically if she has to wear hearing protection the baby needs to also. Good luck figuring out how to manage that one.

I think the hearing protection for a baby is FUD. They are well protected with fluid around them not to mention a layer of fat that is part of the abdominal wall. Best insulation around.

Absolutely dead wrong. My wife and I went through this with a pediactric surgeon and, considering how much we shoot, were given a fast, hard education.

we got the first ultrasound and she is officially 8 weeks preggo, it was pretty cool to see the little heartbeat!

at any rate at least there is someone to man the barbeque!

the noise is bad for the fetus.....(unless you have ear muffs for the stomach)

I'm sorry man !

I took my pregnant wife deer hunting with me and had parked on the side of a hill to look at some deer. As we were getting out of the truck the slope of the hill and the wind blew the truck door shut on my wifes hand. I ran around and got the door open as she was screaming and as soon as I opened the door she fainted and fell smacking her head. I loaded her up and made a code three run out of the mountains and she ended up miscarrying the next day.
Sorry a little off topic but my advice is just to take it easy its only 9 months.
