      3 stories to share:

first one was my first time ever, going shooting, with my friends Glock 19C, he was standing next to me intructing and calling out shots, he told me to increase rate of fire between shots, so I did a 3 shot sequence and all three brass cases landed perfectly in his shirt breast pocket one after the other, purple nurple anyone?

second one I was shooting my friends Dragonuv prone, rapid fire 2 shots, first brass goes over my head, second one bounces off the brass catcher and lands on the inside of my elbow (think where they would normally stick an IV)
and stayed there, I think I heard a sizzle, had a perfect outline/silhouette of the 7.62x54R burnmark for a while

Last one was the worst, was at outdoor range breaking in the new Glock 17 first 200 rounds had to be, what I noticed was irratic ejection in random directions and velocities (normal for break in, now consistent ejection), but I am too jazzed about the new toy to really pay more heed, and I am gonging the plates at 35 and 50 yards, getting cocky, I do a double tap and next thing I know I am in intense pain and tears... first brass had landed perfectly on my eyelid and eyebrow inside of my sunglasses and stayed there, while the second one had lodged itself between my sunglasses and the bridge of my nose, almost dropped the gun!

yup I always wear a hat now

The casing got stuck in my cleavage and I had a blister on each side for a week. That **** hurt like no other! Learned my lesson after that, always wear a zip-up hoodie!

Oh yeah. And it hurt like heck. Blistered, then went away. Even better had a bee fly down my shirt. Hot gun in hand and the little bugger stung me. Everyone was impressed that I very calmly dropped the mag, cleared the gun, handed the gun to the RO, dumped the bee out of my shirt, then preceded to cuss like a sailor . But I did clear the gun first . To say the least the tata's are well covered at the range now.

                        It Buuuurnzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzssssss

I've had multiple casings down tactical shirts (how the heck I don't know, but I had two 5.11 shirts do that to me, and an UA shirt too).

One time....and band camp (just kidding), I had a casing go down one of my shirts and with it being so tight, and the pain pretty severe, I couldn't tell which boob it was searing. So it seared an extra second or two and now I have a permanent small but visible scar.

Meh. Goes with the territory. (shrug)

My vote didn't occur with me, but it happened to my GF, so I'll post the story.

I took her to the local indoor range to make her familiar with my pistols. I brought a .22, a 9mm, and a .45. I first showed her how to operate the .22 and she says " This is weak, I can handle this no problem." She did handle it well, but she rushed through shooting the .22 and wanted to shoot something more powerful. I showed her how to operate it(Taurus PT92), let her have a magazine with 3 rounds in it. She fired the first round, and I could tell it scared her. She fired the second round, but this time she tried to force the muzzle down in anticipation of the recoil, the bullet skipped off the floor. I stopped her, and reiterated the importance of her grip, and told her to watch for a second as I demonstrated.

After I finished, she says " Ok, I got this..." I handed her another 3 round magazine, and the first round was good, and she did the same thing with her second shot as she did with the second shot on the first mag. I didn't stop her, because she did hit the bottom of the target this time, and I thought she was getting it together. As she was about to fire the 3rd round, she dipped the muzzle down and rotated the pistol about 30 degrees to the left(trying to anticipate recoil) and fired the round. The spent casing flew straight back, and got stuck between her safety glasses and her eyebrow, less than an inch from her eye.

I think that turned her off from shooting. It's been hell trying to get her to go with me, even if I bring the .22 for her.

I felt I had to share my uh more embarrassing casing incident that happened at the range today.

Today I was shooting with my Dad and Brother, I was shooting my new Ruger sr9 really having fun, shooting pretty decent. Well while shooting half way through my magazine a casing hits the lane wall and bounces off the ground and went all the way up my shorts into my boxers (thankfully not all the way up ). Not only did it burn but I couldn't get the dang thing out, the pain and it not stopping causes me to hop on one leg while keeping my gun pointed down range. It finally fell out after a few shakes. I make the gun safe and the quickly check to make sure everything is okay; fortunately as said it didn't go too high and the burn wasn't that bad. The worse part was having to tell and show my Dad and brother what happened. I would show a picture but it isn't forum appropriate.

Overall a fun day at the range.

I wear my prescription glasses indoors and the person next to use had casings flying everywhere. I got one in the eye as I was teaching my friend the basics. I told her that's just one reason why you should wear eye protection.

223 neck burn! I was practicing at the Sac/Ione range with the team when my team mate's rifle ejected a round that stuck in between my neck and shooting jacket. A month later, same guy, same range, I had a case stick on the out side of my glasses by the corner of my eye. I still have both scars still. They make good stories!! Haven't had it down the shirt yet...
