Thank you all for the info. I am going to take her to the differerent stores around SD so she can hold different handguns.

Another alternative suggestion is to see if she likes the ergonomics of the Tokarev. The Tokarev is fun to shoot and can be easily swapped into 9mm with a barrel and bushing. I shoot 9mm through my Norinco 213 which is identical to the Tokarev. Recoil is absorbed nicely through the all metal frame and a bushing compensator can be added as well.

Or, if you can find a Norinco 213 that's a good option too!

Thanks, just curious since you mentioned the recoil for your wife. I was wondering if you reloaded lighter loads for her.

I bough tmy wife a Bresa Thunder 380 with the gold accented parts. She shoots it well and feels more confident shooting it than any of my other guns.

              It is also very inexpensive.

Ya I was looking into the Bersa or maybe a Sub-sompact glock.

I own two bersa Firestorms, they are great accurate guns. They feel great in the hand. You will want one as well.

Walther (S&W) P99 comes with 3 grip sizes, it also happens to be a very reliable accurate and durable gun to boot

GF has small hands as well, and loves her sig 239. Only holds 8, but she likes it, and that's what really matters in the end.

the P239 is one of the few "newer" Sigs that has held interest for me.

if i could find one of the early german specimens in 9mm... i might actually be tempted....

My wife and I were in the gun store a couple weeks ago, there was a Springfield EMP. The EMP is very good size for smaller hands, and weights nicely with Aluminum frame. Holds 9 (+1) 9mm, and has a Tritium front sight. A little pricy, yet beautifully worth it.

                            Regards,
