Returning gun after DROS?

Well what you have is effed up.

The FFL who DROSd you the gun has it in AFS as a Gen4 even though you have a Gen3. Did they get the serial number right?

I do not know a single FFL who would DROS a Gen3 Glock as an Exempt Handgun and then write down Gen4. This means not only did you not realize it was not a Gen4, but your FFL who supposedly does SSEs had no idea what he was holding either. That is just strange.

I am truly confused how this happened. The SSE would have to be done before the DROS. SSE guns are kind of obvious. My brain is just not wrapping around this one.
Did everyone not notice what they were holding during the safety demo?

Im not going to quote you but what you just described might be considered a straw purchase, so be careful.

If I were you, I would keep the Gen3 and ask the seller for some extra mags or some sort of partial refund since you prolly over paid for a gen3 glock.

The FFL here is CA should have never charged you a SSE fee for a Gen 3, so they shouldn't charge you when the Gen 4 actually does come in.

When it came in for DROS, they thought it was a gen4 too or had a careless employee. I'll go to the FFL tomorrow since the president stopped responding me via email .

Unbelievable the Seller F'd you like this. Sold you one thing and sent you another with no heads up or anything. I would rip them a new one in the reviews, contact gunbroker admins and ask them wtf. Seller should pay for return shipping, and I would also try and stick them up for your DROS fee, although that is on you for going through with it after inspection.

If it cost you a 1-in-30, those are priceless right now with SSE about to end as we know it. Did you pay with a credit card or money order? If CC, I would dispute it tomorrow.

I'm all for giving people a chance to work things out, but a seller just deciding to send you Gen 3 when you bought Gen 4, with no input from you - is asinine at best and fraud at worst.

All that said - who buys a Gen 4 Glock on gunbroker and not from their local FFL? How does that pencil out in your favor, even if you didn't get screwed?

The FFLs around me were out of stock. I'm just gonna return it back and he's sending me a gen4, either he's gonna refund my shipping or he's gonna send some mags or something.

This was a total f up by everyone involved, I think with you taking possession of the gen 3 has screwed you. That being said, I would just keep the gen 3 and proceed to aquire the Sig, but of course having the out of state dealer comp you somehow. A gen 4 will pop up for you sooner or later if you really want one that badly, the sig might not be as quick. So forget about your idea in your post on 11/6 @6:39pm, maybe even delete that idea, just inquire with both the sending and receiving dealers to see what can be accomplished, meaning those who are in charge that'll bring some knowledge to the table.

Yes, that idea is out the window. Just going to do the exchange and eat that 30 day wait.
