Hi all. I was wondering if anybody knew if it is okay to ship a consignment gun to a ffl in a different city in California. Thank you.

If it's a handgun it'd need to be on the roster (excluding certain SA revolvers) but otherwise should be doable.Last edited by halifax; 10-23-2014, 8:26 AM.Jim

In order to transfer the firearm, it has to be on the certified list, the buyer exempt or the firearm is exempt (single shot, single action, etc.) or the transfer has to be exempt, such as a PPT or intrafamilial transfer. Consignments can be done as a PPT.
So, if the firearm is shipped, it can not be done as a PPT, so that limits the means it can be transferred.
So while the firearm can be shipped, it might not be able to be transferred.Kemasa.
