Daly City FFL Questions!

Hey there!

So. I have been thinking about becoming an FFL out of my personal residence and I wanted to know if anyone here has successfully become an FFL in Daly City!

I know already there is a "How to" forum for California FFL's, but I am looking for some specific advice in the City and County of San Mateo!

Any helpful advice is welcome!

Really I would like to know where you started, any specific's on what exactly I should ask for and how I should word it?

So, which city? Daly City or San Mateo?

Daly City - but I thought that was the county of San Mateo, so I needed to start there?

The advice is the same if you have read the how-to thread. You need to start at your local business office (for city or county depending where you live) and check zoning. If you don't do that you won't know for sure for your specific address. Even if there's another FFL in your area that got an FFL at home doesn't mean you can. It'll depend on how your address is zoned.

The purple letters are part of what I am talking about. That local business license will be dependent on your zoning. Good Luck... Also, if you weren't already aware when you become an FFL your address becomes public domain.
