[Solved] Incorrect CADL id number on DROS

I was just looking over my DROS paper and I noticed that my CADL id number is incorrect. What may result of this?

**UPDATE** So I was able to pick up my handgun on my scheduled pick up date which was today. My FFL couldn't fix the correction until I actually pick it up. He just went on the comp, fix my CADL id number, print a new DROS paper, date & sign, and then I was on my merry way with my new handgun

Could cause a delay or may have no effect. I can't imagine it'll be denied just for that.

Get to the gun store ASAP, bring a copy of the DROS and your ID, show it to them, and tell them they need to do a DROS correction. They fill out the form and fax it to the DOJ.

Hopefully, it doesn't have any effect. But i'll definitely check in with my FFL to be sure.

      Thanks!

Can't do DROS correction on anything except firearm info. The DOJ will either call the dealer for correction (I've had that happen once on my typo) or they'll be forced to re-run the DROS with correct info.

How can The CDL be incorrect if it's scanned in?

            a) bad scan (jumbled data)
            b) no scan and manually typed in. plenty of folks have worn out or demagnetized mag strips on DL or the DL was bent and the mag strip can't be read.

When/where was this? In my current DROS/DES screen the only items I can correct are related to the firearm info. The manual form BOF 958 from January 2014 does not have anywhere to correct anything except firearm info as well.

I always print the preview DROS and have the customer look it over and initial if everything is correct.

That way someone is checking my eyes and if there is an error or a delay I can blame the customer

Scanned means nothing. I've seen some weird symbols in the text boxes after scanning.

I've been good always double checking the DROS paper every time before I sign them, but this time I got carried away talking with the guy doing my paperwork and I somehow managed to over look it..

UGI, on the manual DROS Correction form we simply use the "other" line. This type if correction is by far the most popular at our stores. Gun info is easy, it is the incorrect ID addresses that kill us.

Interesting... I never correct addresses since they can be invalidated so quickly (if customer moves).. I didn't realize DOJ even took those updates. Do you receive a confirmation on the address update? I've never received any confirmations when sending the manual form that they've actually done the correction so I'm curious if they discard those changes or if it actually gets updated in the DROS Database.

Honestly, I figured DOJ would figure it out. I wouldn't be surprised if those corrections end up in the shredder. But that is above my paygrade. We fax it, wait for the confirmation and put both in the customer's packet. According to the boss it helps on the audits, makes it look like we are doing our due diligence.

Next time make sure that they scan your card.
