Ok just got off the phone with ca doj. 32000 stands so federal LEOs can purchase off roster however they said they can not purchase or import large capacity magazines (she couldn't produce anything stating that but is going to find it and call me back). Anyone else have input on the mags thing?
They called back and said it was addressed under pc32000 and sb363. I see nothing on it in either.

However 32400-32450 does address and says federal are part of the exception.

I was told by my FFL that it is asking for the letter since it is automatically doing a 10-day exemption along with the roster exemption, and the 10-day exemption requires the letter. I dont know if he figured out a way to get it to a roster-exempt transfer to LEO without it also adding in the 10-day exemption as well.

Was there really any resolution to this issue? I know the DES system automatically fills-in the 10-Day Wait Exemption field with "Letter Required" but if the LEO waits the 10-days has any real law been broken?

Yes LEOs are exempt still from the roster. That was from ca doj when I spoke to them on the phone.

How do you deal with the delivery time on the dros printout? Doesn't it show a same day delivery? It's been a few months since I've done one, and it was with a letter.

You have to mark it as delivered by clicking on the button. It is interesting that it still shows as "pending" though.

Yes, and I'm assuming it will mark it with the correct date and time.

Do you mean because the "Earliest Delivery Date/Time:" has the same as the DROS date or does it say Delivered somewhere else?

Because it says the date and time it was delivered when you click on delivered. The earliest delivery date/time is the submission time.

You have to submit the DROS, then review the DROS and mark it as delivered, just like any other DROS. When you click on delivered, it marks it as delivered, so when you print it out, it has the delivery date and time, but it also says pending, which is a bit confusing.

Really? Think twice about what you may be told. I bought a SW 52-1 from a FFL in KS. He called CA DOJ to see if he could ship it here. DOJ says NOT on the approved list. Called me - told him to go to the CA DOJ site for Olympic Target pistols - ALL SW 52s ON that list are EXEMPT. duh.
