Hey I was wondering if this thing would be considered a "feature" as described in PC 12276.1???

    Thanks

Is the exit hole of the "thing" bullet diameter. Or the diameter of the part? Take a pic if possible looking at the Muzzle end.

          DOJ's interpretation seems to be
          1) is it sold as a flash suppressor? YES - That's what it is.

          2) Is it sold as a brake? YES - maybe it's a brake, maybe a suppressor, we'll consult our ouija board.

That appears to be a muzzle brake on a M1A SOCOM 16 and is legal for a featureless rifle.

              Agreed.
They list it as a "proprietary muzzle brake"

Since the holes are up, it would not appear to try to "perceptibly reduce or redirect muzzle flash from the shooter's field of vision". If it was just to the sides, then it might.

It's a muzzle brake, but the authoritarians will be along to tell you it's a flash hider.

Wow! There are some legit gun nuts here on CG! Yes that is a pic of the M1A Socom 16. I just wanted to post pic of the muzzle so I got everyone's ideas about the break/ hider without getting biased comments regarding the type of gun it was on. Everyone on here confirmed my thoughts on it. Thanks

It might as well of been the whole rifle pic. With that muzzle brake and Tritinium front sight combo it just screams SOCOM16
