How Long Do FFLs Have To Keep DROS & 4473

Have a few questions about storing paperwork...

    1) How long do FFL's need to keep the DROS & 4473 paperwork?

    2) Does the paperwork need to be stored onsite the entire time?

    3) Do all pages of the 4473 need to be kept (including pages 3-6)?

The Federal paperwork has to be kept for 20 years for completed transfers, 5 years for non-completed transfers. The DROS forms are to be retained for 3 years.

Yes, it has to be stored at the licensed location. Although the FFL can turn over records to the BATF, so in that case it would not be stored at the licensed location.

        3) Do all pages of the 4473 need to be kept (including pages 3-6)?
Yes, it is part of the 4473.
