Please Report All CA DOJ Firearms Issues to CGF!

As a response to an increasing number of reports of apparently improper conduct on the part of the California Department of Justice towards those seeking to acquire firearms for self-defense - protected activity under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution - The Calguns Foundation has established an incident and issue reporting form, accessible at http://calgunsfoundation.org/doj.

The information collected will be used to track the type and number of incidents and, where necessary, allow us to contact those whose rights may have been violated or otherwise damaged by the DOJ.

All those with urgent firearms-related incidents, such as arrests or seizures of property, should continue to contact us through the Calguns Foundation Help Hotline at http://calgunsfoundation.org/get-help/help-hotline.html.

First up for me: the new "policy" of indefinite delays.

Making a customer go back nearly thirty years to explain a non-prohibiting misdemeanor. WTH

(Based on what my customer is telling me.)

We're most definitely tracking this. CGF and Cal-FFL are on it.

I appear to have resolved a similar issue, without any expense but time. Tenacity got me the info I needed. Hope this spares some of you some time and frustrations.

So i called the san bernardino court to request the form you mention " the jus form" they told me that the doj keeps those forms, so why would they delay me if they have those records?

The link on the first page results in:

The page you were looking for was not found.

No sure if there is no longer any tracking or not.

While it isn't the biggest issue, it is really annoying that the CA DOJ CFARS website does not allow an email address with a "-" in it. The domain for my business has a "-" in it, so they refuse to fix it (although such an email address works for receipts) and say to use another email address.

I realize this thread is now 8 years old but it seems the DOJ has not changed much since then. This Is there a new link available? Is the CGF still interested in DOJ firearm issues?

There are so many new gun owners like myself who are being delayed their second amendment rights. I have been delayed 19 days now and my DROS was switched to "delayed" two days ago. I feel helpless as an individual against such a large government bureaucracy.
