I mean honestly what is the purpose of this? Who is thier target demo? first time gun owners whom don't know...

Why would you risk pissing off your clientele over $5? I mean honestly? I would assume I am about an average gun owner meaning at least 6-8 guns bought and or sold a year. wouldn't the loss of future earnings far outweigh the benefit of instant haha we got you for handling our own gun that we sold to you $5 fee....

ok rant off. Thank you for the laws and opinions. I shall move any other pi**ing and moaning to somewhere else.

Please tell me these are not your alternatives to Turner's.

I'd buy 10 guns from Turner's before I'd buy a box of ammo from one of the above.

In Orange County, I'd stick with OC Indoor in Brea, Riflegear, Turner's, or Ammo Bros in Cerritos.

It is just as you say. It is their choice to itemize their receipt like that. It makes them and extra $5 legally, but it might not be good business sense as it upsets the customers. They could just raise their price by $5 and you wouldn't care. However, then you might not come down to their store if you saw the shotgun for $404 in an ad instead of $399.

It is totally up to you. Since the price is the same either way, we could make an argument that you are getting upset over nothing. However, reality dictates that you are who you are and a business needs to take that into consideration. People don't always make rational choices (myself included) so sometimes you have to cater to people's emotions.

No malice or defense in this post. Just simple evaluation.
