Be wary of most of those websites and people who charge to help you acquire a FFL. Certain cities in CA are very difficult to deal with and won't allow a firearms business to operate out of a home under any circumstance. Kemasa is the only home based FFL I know of in proximity to los angeles

The website you referenced, is one I recently used and purchased their online FFL materials. I recently had my ATF interview and now am just waiting for my 01 license to arrive so that I can process my local business license. I would recommend ffl123 as their online information was very helpful in properly completing my application and preparing for the interview. The website also has California specific information which was invaluable.
I too have a full time job but want to do transfers from my home.

I am not sure about your location but here in the south bay area one would not be able to get a CFD within a major incorporated city (un-incorporated county is still acceptable)
hergo, I could get my 01 FFL, but without a "brick and mortar" storefront I could not get approval from the city zoning department to engage in commercial business within the state.
The only friends I know whom have successfully done this is by latching it on to another existing business.
For example: my buddy "joe" has an FFL because he attached it to his family business.

The biggest obstacle I have encountered is not the BATF FFL process, rather the successful acquisition of a CFD via the city zoning process.

I dont want to sound discouraging but it was a more tideous process than I believed it initially was and have chose not to continue the process at this time.

The "how to become an FFL" sticky in this forum has helped me save time and money before finding out the hard way.

Please don't let me discourage your ambitions, best of luck and remember to become a vendor to us fellow calgunners when you accomplish your goal/dream!
