        Seems like I would leave it at that. As has been said, if that was a new requirement we would already know about it. Having sent a couple guns to hawaii, they do operate under some different requirements for the state but not Feds.

          I person I know is in LA, CA. I would still like to know what the BATF is Hawaii is claiming.

            Field offices have gone off the reservation before...sounds like this may be something cooked up locally.

              Yep, it appears to be the case. One issue is that it is a small office, with little recourse if you annoy the only person who deals with the FFLs there.

                I talked to my UPS delivery guy today and he said it is a UPS policy that all handguns they ship go 2nd day air.

                  This is half right half wrong.

                  The BOOK says they have to go overnight.

                  The company makes exceptions for large volume customers for handguns to go 2nd day - examples are Smith and Wesson, RSR, Davidsons, etc.

                    That is ONLY UPS policy, which is similar to FedEx, but that does not relate to USPS.
