has anyone ever heard of ffl making you do dros for Savage 10 ML-I & II Muzzleloaders?

Yep...you're basically at the mercy of the dictionary...and the comfort factor of the FFL. "Readily" convertible can mean almost anything...so if I can pay someone some money and they can make my muzzleloader accept a cartridge...then you're going to have to DROS. The Savage 10 ML is actually listed by ATF as one of the muzzle loaders that is too close to being a cartridge firearm to be considered an antique. Well, the "early, first version" is listed, whatever that means.
