If I recall, the sole FFL in the city of Oakland is held by an LEO.Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

The answer to the OP's question is, simply, YES. An FFL (and all corresponding state and local licenses) CAN be held by an active LEO. While some departments may have internal policies that regulate / restrict what type of business an LEO can work in / own, the BATFE and Calif DOJ, BOE, etc. do not.Comment
