Maybe some sort of interference with commerce or some other equal protection situation? Afterall, the dealers all say that they are selling cars, the thousands of shops say they are selling smokes, yet these all kill WAY more people a year than firearms (assuming that's their rationale).
My guess is that if you listed the causes of death in order of magnitude there will only be ONE area that has a restriction saying you can't let the world know you're selling it. I mean after you get past the first amendment, but I digress.
