Buying Handgun

Sorry if this question has already been answered, but i want to know is it possible to purchase 2 guns in 1 sitting or do I have to wait 30 days between purchases?

If you are buying 2 used guns from a buddy then no.
If you are buying 2 new guns from a gun shop then yes.
If you are buying 1 new and 1 used from your buddy then no.

Thanks alot, new to California and don't really know too much of the buying process. All I know is 10rd mags which blows, 10 day wait and DOJ approved.

You can buy as many handguns as often as you like. If you come into my store, you can buy two handguns right then and there!

However, you can only DROS a handgun from a dealer every 30 twenty-four hour periods. So you buy the two handguns, decide which one you like more, start the DROS, I put your name on both, you pick the DROSed one up 10-29.99999999 days later, and then we wait until the 30 days and you come in and start your second.

Some people don't look at the 1 in 30 days rule as a restriction, they look at it as a requirement. They stack up their handguns and make sure they buy 12 a year.

Is it possible to buy a off list handgun that was once on the list and have it shipped to California as long as it comes with 10rd mags?

The real answer is if you are willing to pay for the firearm to be put back on the list, then you can do that and then buy it. I am not sure of what it costs, but I am sure it is expensive and far more than you would consider paying. I suspect it would be cheaper to move out of state for a bit. I recall looking at the law and seeing that "option". Not sure of what it would take to do it though.

Yes, if the person is exempt, then it is not an issue, but most likely the person asking is not exempt since if they were then they would not be asking :-).

Just seeing if if this would be looked at the same way they view off list ar lowers. Not from california so I have to ask.

Are S&W 5906 allowed to be shipped to California? Without the 15rd mags of course.
