Question on PPT transfer for handgun and registration

Had to go look up the receipt, they charged zero for DROS, 25 bucks for registration fee AND 5 bucks for a registration "administration" fee. Ah 5 bucks no biggie.

I still don't understand why any shops charge any kinds of "administration" or other random fees just to do a normal sale from inventory.

Transfers are one thing, but it's absurd to charge someone an extra fee when they're actually buying it from you.

I don't understand either. I think that if they need the extra cash that they should just mark up the firearm the extra dollar amount rather then sneak in the fee on the backend.
