I have a friend of mine that's qualified to give me the training, but he wants to know what's like to put in a signed statement/such as certificate after I complete the safety training with him?

Yup, got it on Monday. I felt it would be better for sales if I could administer the HSC myself.

Yep, any one can do it, If you have your COE you don't have to pay the $14 fee.

I thought so. Someone who did an HSC Instructor course refused me and said I needed FFL to be a HSC Instructor.

If you are not a HSC Instructor, then you can not sell handguns since you have to do the safety demonstration. Whether you get the certificates is another question, but it is useful.

The first video is free and they have a lot of them :-).

That little gem kept me from selling handguns for 3 months. NRA Instructors were exempt from the requirements but NRA Coaches were not. I successfully argued my case and got my card. It only took about 90 days. No one had ever heard of an NRA Coach before.
