Yes but the manufacturer is sending a call tag to recover the broken firearm and they no longer want to send the gun back to a residence where they have no control over who receives the gun.

When a firearm is lost in transit it technically becomes the senders issue in regards to ATF. Manufacturers have now made this policy across the board.

A company can have a policy to not ship to anyone but a FFL but, that doesn't mean that it "can't" be done. It just means it's something they choose not not do.

True but because UPS and Fed Ex aren’t shipping guns for non FFLs and 98% of all guns are shipped that way, it doesn?t really matter what you think on this matter.

Edit: BTW, this wasn’t meant as a swipe at you, I’m just pointing out that’s what’s changed and there’s nothing we can do about that

Called mosseberg and they said in CA we have to do it through FFL for service, understandable. But when I spoke to the local shop, I was told they will help me return to mossberg but once serviced, I will need to dros it again and wait 10 days even if it's my own gun.

          This true?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Yes,,,they need to record it coming ang going out of the store in there A&D book. There is nothing anywhere that requires that they re-register it to you...unless a new serial number, as was said.

The "Lady" doesn't know what she's talking about. Although, maybe there are sending a NEW gun in which case it would have to be DROS'd.
