    More proof that CA's system is full of errors and they are encouraging people to continue to allow more errors in the system. CA DOJ really has no reason to question voluntary submissions or demand proof of who/where the firearm went.

      Absolutely nothing. You're not required by federal or state law to tell them you are no longer in possession. If its a CA to CA resident, its done via DROS.

      This does not apply to lost or stolen which IS required via the local PD
