COE & FFL03 costs

I'm finally starting the process for C&R licence and such.
I was quoted $106 for Livescan (DOJ, FBI and processing fees)
For those who have done this,
Does that sound fair?

Also, is the FFL 03 application fee still $30?

Yes (to me) and yes.

Livescan you can shop around, some places are cheaper vs your local police station. There a list of livescan places (SoCal), I can't find it currently but hopefully someone will post it up.

Yes I did my research and called 3 PD none of which are doing livescan at the moment. The savings are only $20. Plus I would need an appointment and drive. This place is literally walking distance.

I did live scan at UPS store.

Wherever you get your scan make sure you can read the numbers before you leave.
I went to a store and I had to go back for the guy to translate his marks into something I could read.

$17 FBI fee
+ Operator (UPS Store) fee usually $20 or $30, it depends on which store

All these fees will be paid to the Livescan operator

I also did mine at a UPS Store.

But $106 is not bad if it is convenient, you might only save $10 - $15 going somewhere else.

The good news is you will not have to do it again in order to keep renewing.

The IE is a pretty big place so it's hard to help without knowing where in the IE you are.

Thanks. My local PD charges $10, or at least they used to, They're not doing livescan. I'll have to spend $20 more. It's all good.
