FFL problems - not responding

I bought a gun online and used a local FFL in Ventura County for the transfer. After the 10 day waiting period the FFL was unavailable for several weeks to finalize the transfer. He said he had COVID, but I observed him at his office doing other business and interacting with UPS, etc. I finally got my gun about 20 days later, but he said he wasn't feeling well and would email my copies of the signed transfer paperwork. Its been over a month. I've called and left messages and I've emailed him requesting my copy. He is not responding. I have remained polite so far, but my patience is wearing thin.

Any advice?

The man is sick (not feeling well), you got your gun already, you worrying about a piece of paper? Get off the instant gratification carp and enjoy your gun. You don't need Dros papers to own a gun, its in the AFS already.

Nother paranoid newbie. DROS paperwork is not necessary to prove anything unless you are selling semi auto ar pistol lower. Wait till ypou have 25 firearms like some of us. I have a stack of old dros's in a file.Never had to show one to anyone.

Not going to stress if I forget it on the counter but I like to keep a copy of my DROS and sales receipt for my records.

Get the DROS paper. That’s the only way to proof if you received the correct firearm. There’s are FFL that will screw up your DROS. It is your life not those tell you take easy.

Wtf is with all the hate in here today? Newbie asked a question because he didn't know the answer and everyone jumps down his throat. those who are being rude, there was a point in time where you didn't know the answer either, and perhaps you reached out to the community to find out. Lighten up a little bit, it's not like he's charging $3 around for bulk 9 mm

Heres the thing new dude, welcome btw, those things never go away either. You can always go back when he's open for normal business and have him print you one. But like they said, they're worthless. Just note the make model and serial number someplace just in case you ever need it. I suggest writing yourself an email. It will never go away...

I used to think they were worthless and shredded years worth. Found out the hard way on the recent AW registration that they had a use. You could not register unless you had the correct date and location rifle was purchased. Now I save everything.
