Pre-64 rifles...

I picked up a pile of guns from the local PD for a customer and there are six which are pre-64 and have no serial #s. What do I put in DROS? The PD put them down as 2Antique, which does not fly on DROS?

There's guns post '64 without serial numbers too. The law requiring serial numbers didn't come into play til 1968.

It's known as the Gun Control Act of 1968, GCA68 for short.

NSN doesn't usually work in the DROS. In your A&D book you put NSN. on the DROS window you use 2antique. Unless they have changed it in the last 6 months

If 2Antique doesn't work anymore, call the DROS help line. That's what I did last time I had one and they told me what to use.

I've used 2antique in the last 2 weeks. Its fine, in the comments section I put made prior to GCA1968.
