I just left Marshall range training tactical in Compton. went to do dros on a lower.Met seller did all the paperwork and she asked for payment. I gave her debit card and she sadi $108. I said no shuld be $47.19 she said fees plus transfer plus 4% for using card and taxes. I showed her sign behind her that said dros $47.19. She it ias $108. I said no she said leave. She b]never heard of safer affidavit. The other girl backed her up. I wonder how many people have been defrauded of the extra fees. Same thing happened at traders pawn in Reseda they wanted $82 bucks.Seller came from Downey and me from sfv.

Was it a PPT? Or a transfer, something you ordered online?

Met buyer at ffl for dros like I said no transfer. They said a ppt dros is a transfer so the extra 60 bucks applies.. I need to find ffl down there without long wait that is not dumber n a box of rocks.

OP, sounds like some shenanigans with this Marshall tactical. The CC fee is outrageous unless you used Am Ex, who has the highest transaction percentage. But you used a debit card...strange. I know some places place a minimum before you can use a debit card.

The safe affidavit thing...they either are ignorant or just want to nickle and dime people, especially now.

PPT Fee is set by CA DOJ at $10 plus the $37.19, they cant charge you anything extra unless you need to buy a case or lock etc.

Call DOJ and report it.

^^ Good luck with that doj never answers phones. They can charge what they like as long as they get away with it. I tried to tell them ca doj fees are set by the state. They said take a hike. I was going to take a pic of their sign with $47.19 dros fees and she said no photos take phone outside.

Then that is Marshall Security Training Academy & Range. OP, all them security guard training centers are known for being butt heads. Always terrible feed back. Best to you as most places are either appt or wait in line, if they are doing PPT. Try Guns Direct in Burbank, good people. They are not open weekends but they are not doing appts as the cupboards are bare. Check first if the will do a PPT.

MY seller is in Downey and I can travel closer to him. I just won't stand still for being pencil whipped by some ignorant nummies. Be nice if someone could set them straight. Nice place and people up until moment they tried to pick my pocket. Good prices on bulk pistol ammo.
