DROS delay

They're taking their time because they can. They're using the mass panic buying as an excuse even though that ended with the lockdown. All they had to do was post a notice on their website (which they did) and now they can drag this out as long as they want.
The fact is, their number one priority is gun control. They don't care about the homeless, they don't care about illegals and they don't care about releasing criminals. They only care about banning guns.
Stopping Trump is not even as much of a priority because they know that CA's electoral votes will go to the Democrats as usual.

All 3 cleared today... 2 @ day 18 and 1 @ day 28.2 weeks ago, I had 2 of 3 of my DROS complete in 13 days. The 3rd is now at 27 days.
Since then I have done another two and both are at 17 days.
My FFL's understanding is if it hits Day 30 without the DROS having a decision, the law states that he is to release the firearms.
Also, it is not effecting everyone. FFL says lots are having long waits (has one at 29 days) but others are only going the 10 days. He thinks it is just dependent on who it gets assigned to at DOJ.Comment

I'm about fed up with this damn state. Need to start looking at Arizona or Texas. They're taking their time because they can. Then the problem is multiplied because Trump appointed an anti-gunner (the majority of senate republicans voted against him) to the 9th appeals. He is the one that issued the emergency stay on Benetiz's injunction to "keep bad people from getting ammo" like they weren't getting ammo before. They're taking their time because they can. I'm from the South Bay. I'm on 'Pending' status, it is day 14 so far. My LGS sounded pretty upset when I called him to check on my status. I'm guessing he has a lot of customers that are being held up.Comment

Emergency stay has not been issued. Administrative stay has been issued. You are right about the judge you mentioned but my post had nothing to do with judges. It was about the DOJ taking their time approving gun purchases. Then the problem is multiplied because Trump appointed an anti-gunner (the majority of senate republicans voted against him) to the 9th appeals. He is the one that issued the emergency stay on Benetiz's injunction to "keep bad people from getting ammo" like they weren't getting ammo before.
Out of 193 judges confirmed I can't expect all of them to be supportive of what's important to me. Trump may have nominated Bennett for other reasons besides gun issues, I don't know.

I assume this is a reference to Judge Bennett, who was one of the two judges on the initial emergency stay of Judge Benitez's order, but there was a later stay that was a 2-1 decision, with the Trump appointee being the dissent.Comment
