Would not surprise me, I have been waiting for it. But I am wondering if the person who told you this was confused by the story that LASD was forcing gun stores to close:

I have not heard a thing from anyone about shutting down. I don't see how they can and not have lawsuits about it. I am working as usual, but being a smaller shop I fly under the radar.

I know that some cities are ordering gun stores to close but haven't heard of a statewide shut down.

When I talked to DOJ rep earlier this week I asked that specific thing and she told me they are operating on multiple shifts to keep the background checks going. I was specifically asking if everyone was going on delay and she told me they are not allowed by law to do that for no reason.

They are keeping their social distancing requirements met I guess by having people split across shifts 24x7 (or close to that).

This is specific to running background checks, etc.. I did not ask if the front end would have any turning off.. i was more concerned about customers that already had started their 10 day waits.

I submitted late last month and it is still pending.

I'n not familiar with how DOJ functions but are they capable of pulling people from one department in order to staff another one?

No idea..my wife and I are both waiting on our COE renewals too. I've got 42 days left before it expires. Started process 3/11.

When did you start your coe renewal? I started 3/12. Called customer service they said they are still working.

My COE took about a month to renew this year (vs. a day last year.)

Chris our local pawn shop Traders in Reseda is claiming ppt dros is a transfer so they are charging 25 on topo of the 47.19 for ppt dros. I tried to tell them it is ilegal and they told me to go elsewhere. If you know them maybe give them a heads up. I wonder how many people they defrauded of 25 bucks
