Went okay. Colt national matches are definitely out of the question now. Got dinged because a hunting permit was expired, and got dinged 3 times for it. Invalid exemption, invalid fsc, no fsc test. Some security notes, need to install bars on the windows [emoji24]

They said I would have des access tomorrow, so could have been worse! One thing that caught me by surprise, they are saying I need to be on the California centralized list of manufacturers if I make more than 99 guns in a year? That's a new one for me, I thought my ffl07 covered that.

Made us cancel all in dros, cadoj considers it a replica, not the original. Atf book specifications says in original configuration, they say this isn't the original configuration.

Did you have any National Match pending in DROS (waiting pickup), or did they make you go back and cancel the old ones???

Did they say anything else about them, are they going to kick doors in to get them back or just let sleeping dogs lie?

3 in dros, all canceled. We have to send letters to everybody we sold stating, doj 'may' visit them and confiscate, but it's up to each field office to determine action.

Colt national match pistols are replicas unless you check the serial with colt and get an original and is 50+ years. Be carful if you are selling these as C&R and they are not.

I would recommend being extremely careful about these specific issues going forward.

If they come back and audit in the future and you have the same issues, they consider it a trend and with any "trends", they tend to "ding" a little harder...

Wow, that would be a sheet show. But I wouldn’t put it past them. They would sooner trip over used hypes and human dung piles in SF to kick in the door of a law abiding gun owner, than acknowledge the roster for the farce that it is.

That's an interesting perspective. I wonder at what point in the in the on and off manufacture of NM pistols in the last 80 or so years they became replicas.

They gave us a date range Basically 50 years or older. It's not worth the transfer fee to do the homework so we are just going to blanket ban them

How expired was the hunting license?

From the Penal code the season right before is valid:

CA has their own firearm manfuacturer licensing for 07-FFL that make 100+ firearms in a calendar year. [PC 29010]

(a) Commencing July 1, 1999, no person, firm, or corporation licensed to manufacture firearms pursuant to Chapter 44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States Code may manufacture firearms within this state unless that person, firm, or corporation is licensed pursuant to Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 29030).
(b) Subdivision (a) does not apply to a person licensed to manufacture firearms pursuant to Chapter 44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States Code who manufactures fewer than 100 firearms in a calendar year within this state.

It is in the original configuration as sold by Colt. That is what it means. The BATF considers it to be on the C&R list, so you should really push back and get them to get a letter from the BATF saying it isn't on the C&R list, which they won't be able to do. Also, ask the BATF if a new production National Match is a C&R, which it is, but getting a letter might be difficult.

Their being clueless about DES bulletins should tell you what is going on.
