I had a similar situation many years ago. It wasn't my call but I told them I personally did not want to be involved if it ended up making us look bad or was used to further antigun agendas. It went fine for the most part I was only vaguely in background I did not want to be fully filmed.

One employee refused to be around for it at all. Once a local newspaper wanted to do an interview I did consent to that and it went fine. Last time I stayed in the shadows and I had someone else do the camera and interview thing she did a pretty decent job.

I've also been approached and knew people that have been approached about having any interest in reality shows based on the industry a few years back. I discussed with that shop and a former owner of the shop they were not interested for various reasons.

I know of one FFL that did get further in the process but found out through other sources that the production people felt he was too much of a PITA and the project just fell through.

Seems they do pick some winners for that think American Gun and Sons of Guns. I almost think they pick such people to make us look like fools later on down the road.

I turn down requests all the time. We're not going to displace our customers for some film project.

I took a phone call from some Asian accented guy last week. Might have been the same dude.
