Here is a little dialogue between us and a potential filmmaker who wanted to use our site to film. What do you guys think about this, we all complain about how the media and movies glorify firearms violence and could possibly encourage unlawful behavior with firearms.

Hi Chris,
This is David XX. I am a filmmaker looking for a pawn shop location for filming in Oct for one day. We have around 25-30 people on set. May I know if it's possible for us to rent your store for 6 hours for filming?
Please feel free to let me know how you think. My number is 310-XXX-XXXX, or you can respond to my email.
Thanks!
David

What I am concerned about is closing for what would basically be a whole day to film. I also am concerned about the topic you are filming, you indicated that the scene filmed would be so a lady can come purchase a firearm. As you are probably aware we sell firearms and are active supporters of the second amendment. I would be concerned that the film would not align with our stance on the 2A. If you could address this and let us know exactly the context in which you would like to use the store and scene I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. Also if we were to do it we would have to do it on a Sunday or something where we would mitigate loss revenue from the business being closed.
Thanks

Thank you for the response.
Our story is based on a true story. It's about an Asian American family. The family loses their father, And the teenage son misses his father so much, he starts to have some mental problems. The single mom finds out the son have some violent thoughts. She tries to help the son, but she finds out she has cancer. She ends up deciding to kill her son to prevent her son hurting other people. It's based on a true story. The main concept we want to discuss in the movie is parenting. What the mom can do to help solving her son's depression in a better way instead of killing him.
Please let me know how you think.
Thanks!

Thanks for providing a little insight into your film project. Based on what you are saying we believe here that the idea that the customer is going to purchase a firearm so she can commit a crime would not be something that we would like to support as responsible firearms dealers. Thanks for considering but we will pass on using this location for filming. Thanks for your time and best of luck and success with your project.
