Looks like they're going down the list and dividing up the reaminng stock. Looks like it worked out to be an "A" named dealer. Sorry fellas. But seriously. I can probably send a few to you UG if you don't get some by 1-1 I can mail you a handful or so to get you thru the first week of the year. It's my understanding all guns transferred after 1-1-18 have to have these new tags right. Basically cut the old ones off and toss them?

In theory they passed an in person practical test demonstrating safety before they can get their hunting license. Obtaining the hunting license implies they passed the hunter safety course for the most part..

There is a loop hole. Back before my FLL03 days I needed to come up with a hunting license to do a DROS.. To get one I needed to produce a previous one. Since I didn't have one on me I called my son and he dug thru a dresser drawer and found one from 1973. He gave me the number off it and it went thru without a hitch... Not sure if the DFG even checks them?? In '73 they didn't have the safety test requirement....

Yes, if there is no color then no one would be able to read it. I am not sure where you would find clear ink/toner either. Black and white are colors.

it's illegal to photo copy these tags. If you wish to copy them you must do it by hand.

Heres the wording in the Assembly Bill 23640. (a) (1) The packaging of any firearm and any descriptive materials that accompany any firearm sold or transferred in this state, or delivered for sale in this state, by any licensed manufacturer, or licensed dealer, shall bear a label containing the following warning statement:
WARNING
Firearms must be handled responsibly and securely stored to prevent access by children and other unauthorized users. California has strict laws pertaining to firearms, and you may be fined or imprisoned if you fail to comply with them. Visit the Web site of the California Attorney General at https://oag.ca.gov/firearms for information on firearm laws applicable to you and how you can comply.
Prevent child access by always keeping guns locked away and unloaded when not in use. If you keep a loaded firearm where a child obtains and improperly uses it, you may be fined or sent to prison.
