    @Condorguns

    So more than likely now they are just waiting towards the end and make the decision?

      I have no clue. Most of my delays will flip to approve between day 15-20. This one ran longer than usual. I just assume that a DROS will flip to undetermined after 20 days. This one suprised me.

          I'm on day 26 while on delay. It's getting closer to the 30 day mark.

          Anyone know how it works if the place I purchased it from closed this coming Tuesday 6/20 and Wednesday 6/21 and the 30 day mark lands on the days there closed?

            You find out the next day they are open what the status is.

              @UG

              I thought the DROS is only good for up to 30days?

                It is.. if you get approved after the 30 day window DOJ gives us another NICS# to log, but doesn't make you wait 10 more days.

                  @UG

                  Do you know if Approved notices are still given out on weekends even if the doj is only avail on Mon-Fri?

                    No idea. I'm not going to go look in my past transactions to see which fell on a weekend, sorry.

                        Given the massive number of DROS that are processed each day = 1,000 to 2,000 or more, (BTW, the last 5 numbers in the DROS sequence signifies the number of DROS submitted up to that time each day, 0700-2300) I can't help but think the process is automated and operates around the clock, 356 days. Granted, there are times when the human factor is incorporated like when a question shows up. And yes, the enforcement section is available M-F...if your lucky.
                        I doubt that at 2300 hrs. someone flips a switch and shuts the computers off along with the lights and walks out the door. Could be wrong...!

                          From the date of purchase.

                            Well, got some good news.
                            On the 29th day of my delay, I finally got a call from my FFL and got an approval.

                              Congrats.

                              If this was a purchase from the FFL. Go in, get your gun. Then tell the TURD you will never buy from them again. And you plan on telling everyone you know that they are a TURD. Because they refuse to release on undetermined. Because TURDS stink.

                              If it was a PPT, they likely won't care either way.
